Aspects of designing and manufacturing of micro-parts and application of micro injection molding technology

Abstract

Selected problems related to the designing of the products made of polymeric materials formed by micro injection molding were discussed. Polymeric thermoplastic materials used in this method were characterized and their specific properties (Table 1) were stressed. Examples of basic applications of micro injection molding technology as well as of the polymeric micro-parts produced by this way (Fig. 1-5), with especially stressed possibility of metal micro-parts (Fig. 6) fabrication, were presented.
