The method for selecting the strategy to control the quality of injection moldings

Abstract

Three methods based on Taguchi's loss function are presented to ensure good quality in moldings and the cost involved is estimated in relation to polymer type. Cost components are specified for each method. Practical manufacturing data are used to estimate the cost relation to process capacity (C-p) (Table 2, Fig. 1).
