Determination of trace amounts of aromatic amines in foamed polyurethanes

Abstract

On the base of modified High Performance Thin Layer Chromatography a simple method to determine trace amounts of aromatic amines in flexible polyurethane foams was elaborated. As a result of the modification the detection threshold was substantially lowered and improvement of the separation method allowed increasing its accuracy and sensitivity. The method can be used to analyze the composition of polyurethane products.
