Injection molding of parts of specific geometrical features

Abstract

On the basis of literature data the methods of microinjection molding and thin-wall injection molding were characterized. The conditions of particular steps of these processes as well as the requirements for injection molding machines, molds and polymers used were discussed. The advantages and disadvantages of both processing methods in comparison with conventional injection molding were compiled. Possible applications of microparts and thin-wall moldings were given.
