Construction and operation of a corona-treating equipment for plastic film

Abstract

General description of a corona-treating equipment for plastic film activation and mechanism of corona discharge creation and plasma generation are presented. Basic parts of corona-treating equipment such as generator unit, high voltage transformer and, most precisely, activating stations have been characterized on the basis of own results and literature data. Main functions and classic grades of discharge electrode sets have been described. Principles of selection and using of the corona-treating equipment are specified. Especially the importance of individual kinds of protection has been marked.
