Forecast of production and development of regional market of plastics with special allowing for the role of aromatic compounds
Abstract
The present state and prospects of domestic market of polymers produced on the base of BTX (benzene, toluene, xylene) aromatic hydrocarbons were presented. The possibilities of production and market developments for selected engineering plastics in the conditions of regional (Central Europe and Eastern countries) and global (countries of European Union) environments were analyzed. Basic factors influencing the chances of prospective start or increasing of plastics’ productivity in Poland, in the frame of available products’ specialization, as well as the chances to reach the leading position in the region were discussed. Essential significance of availability of raw materials sources (especially from BTX group) for the plastics’ production has been marked.
